Hero MotoCorp, the stalwart of the Indian motorcycle industry, has reported remarkable double-digit growth in both domestic and export sales for the month of October 2023. Bolstered by the introduction of the premium Harley Davidson X440 and sustained demand for iconic models, Hero’s sales soared, signaling a robust performance in the competitive market.
Hero Sales Breakup October 2023:
In a testament to Hero MotoCorp’s sales prowess, the company recorded a total of 5,72,057 units sold in October 2023, reflecting a substantial 26% increase compared to the same period in the previous year. This remarkable growth is attributed to the strategic inclusion of the Harley Davidson X440 and the unwavering popularity of models such as Splendor, Deluxe, Passion, and Pleasure in the Indian market.
Hero Splendor, HF Deluxe, and Passion Lead:
Hero’s domestic sales in October 2023 reached an impressive 5,56,894 units, showcasing a substantial increase of 1,14,096 units from October 2022. The Hero Splendor, a household name in India, claimed the top spot as the best-selling motorcycle, accounting for 55.79% of the company’s portfolio with sales totaling 3,10,671 units. HF Deluxe and Passion also made significant contributions with sales figures of 1,17,719 units and 40,759 units, respectively.
Glamor and Destiny Shine:
Among the standout performers, Glamor witnessed a remarkable growth of 32.26% year-on-year, reaching 37,476 units in October 2023. The Destiny 125 scooter also experienced a healthy surge with an 18.06% increase, totaling 17,425 units sold. However, Hero Pleasure faced a decline of 27.83%, and Hero Xtreme 160/200 sales dropped by 13.61% compared to October 2022.
Hero Vida and Other Models:
The Hero Vida witnessed a notable spike in sales, reaching 3,840 units in October 2023, a significant leap from the mere 2 units sold in the same month of the previous year. While models like Karizma 210 and Maestro maintained their positions among the top sellers, Maestro experienced a decline of 94.30% in sales compared to October 2022.
