Railway Warriors Triumph at Second Edition of Commissioners Veterans Cricket Cup 2024

In a nail-biting final match, the Railway Warriors emerged victorious in the Second edition of Commissioners Veterans Cricket Cup 2024, organized by the Maharashtra Veteran Cricket Association in collaboration with EDGE Eventz & Entertainment. The championship match, held at the PYC Hindu Gymkhana Cricket Ground, witnessed an intense battle as Railway Warriors secured a 6-wicket win over GST Giants.

Powered by a remarkable innings of 48 runs in 27 balls by Rohan Marwaha, GST Giants set a target of 83 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 10 overs. However, Railway Warriors showcased their prowess by scoring 84 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in just 8 overs. Yuvraj Gole played a pivotal role in the victory with a whirlwind knock of 21 runs, supported by Nahid Shaikh’s 20 runs.

The trophy was awarded to the Railway Warriors in the presence of Sourabh Patil, Director of Majestique Group. Ranjeet More, Acting President of Maharashtra Veteran Cricket Association, Sudhir Kulkarni, Secretary of Maharashtra Veteran Cricket Association, Ranjit Khirid, Captain of MVCA, and Aniket Soman, Director of EDGE Eventz & Entertainment, were among the dignitaries present during the award ceremony.

Results – Final Round: GST Giants: 83/6 in 10 Overs (Rohan Marwaha 48(27, 4×4, 2×6), Mohsin Khan not out 16, Nahid Shaikh 3-16, Vishwanath Mundhe 1-20, Harshal Kagde 1-13) lost to Railway Warriors: 84/4 in 8 Overs (Yuvraj Gole 21(16), Nahid Shaikh 20, Rajesh 19(6, 3×6), Dinesh Titre 13, Sachin 2-11)
