Pune: “It Took 17 Years for Clarity to Dawn on Us,” Ajit Pawar Replied to Supriya Sule’s Question

Pawar Family

Pune: Though, on paper, it is a fight between sisters-in-law, the fight for Baramati constituency is actually between Ajit Pawar vs. Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar vs. Supriya Sule for political supremacy. In this fight, the entire Pawar family has strongly stood behind Sharad Pawar and Supriya Sule, whereas Ajit Pawar alone is fighting against all the family.

In the Baramati constituency, Ajit Pawar fielded his own wife, Sunetra Pawar, and made this battle a matter of prestige for him. After that, Ajit Pawar has been continuously criticising Supriya Sule and Sharad Pawar. In last week’s meeting in Bhor Taluka, Ajit Pawar accused Supriya Sule of appropriating his works for her campaigning books.

Furthermore, he also alleged Supriya Sule for her inefficiency to bring MIDC to Purandar in spite of promising it in 2019. Surprisingly, along with BJP leaders, some of the leaders of the NCP also accused Supriya Sule of being responsible for the split in the party.

On this issue, yesterday, Supriya Sule finally broke her silence and asked Ajit Pawar and his supporters that if she was so wrong, then why had they worked with her for so many years? “Now, only eight months have passed since the split in the party, and now the opponents are pointing out my bad behaviour so fluently that I am also unaware of. I just have a simple question for them: If I was so wrong, then why did you work with me for the last 18 years?” Sule asked this during her campaign public meeting in Khadakwasla yesterday.

On this, when Ajit Pawar was asked the same question by reporters today, he answered that it took 17 years for clarity to dawn on him. Therefore, he remembers everything now.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar attended a programme organised on the occasion of Maharashtra Day in Pune. On this occasion, he interacted with the reporters. On this occasion, Ajit Pawar replied to the question asked by Supriya Sule.
