Pune: Shirur’s incumbent MP and Mahavikas Aaghadi’s candidate for Shirur Lok Sabha Constituency, Dr. Amol Kolhe, has once again stirred the political circle of the state by claiming the Chief Minister’s intent to field Chhagan Bhujbal from Shirur constituency instead of Aadhalrao Patil. After this statement by Amol Kolhe, there have been big discussions in the political circles of the state.

An all-party workers meeting was organised at Ankushrao Landge Auditorium in Bhosari for the campaign of MP Dr. Amol Kolhe, candidate of Mahavikas Aaghadi for Shirur Lok Sabha Constituency. Dr. Kolhe was speaking in this meeting. At that time, State President of the NCP Jayant Patil, Shiv Sena’s Liaison Chief Sachin Ahir, City President Tushar Kamthe, Dhananjay Alhat, Sulabha Ubale, Manav Kamble, etc. were present.

While addressing party workers in the meeting, Kolhe took detailed jabs at Mahayuti’s candidate, Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil. Kolhe said, “If I had a competent candidate in front of me, it would have been fun to speak.” However, he said that it is not appropriate to talk about the candidate who has jumped multiple times from many parties.”

At that time, Kolhe also dropped a bombshell, asserting that Patil was not the first-choice candidate of the Chief Minister. He said, “The opponent’s situation has become crestfallen. Actually, the Chief Minister wanted Chhagan Bhujbal to contest the Shirur Lok Sabha seat. However, as he refused to contest, Aadhalrao was given the ticket for the election.”

The Kolhe further said that he did not feel right to make remarks about such an incompetent and compromise candidate. At this time, he also questioned what to say to such an elderly person.
