Dark Day on Samruddhi Expressway: 12 Fatalities and Dozens Injured in Terrifying Crash

A devastating accident occurred on the Samruddhi Expressway, claiming the lives of 12 individuals and leaving more than 20 injured. The incident unfolded in the vicinity of Vaijapur, within the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, during the early hours of a fateful Sunday.

Details of the Tragic Event

According to official reports, the accident transpired when a tempo traveler collided with a truck from behind, resulting in a catastrophic collision. The vehicle was transporting a total of 35 passengers, and the aftermath of the collision was nothing short of tragic. Regrettably, 12 lives were lost, and over 20 individuals sustained injuries as a consequence of the incident.

Swift Response and Medical Care

Following the accident, swift action was taken to attend to the injured passengers. They were promptly transported to the nearest government hospitals located in Vaijapur and Chhattisgarh Sambhajinagar. The injured individuals are currently receiving medical care, with hopes for a speedy recovery.

The injured, who have shown immense resilience in the face of adversity, include Pooja Sandip Aswale, Vaishali Sandip Aswale, Jyoti Dipak Kekade, Dagu Sukhdev Mhaske, Gautam Bhaskar Tapase, Shantabai Namdev Mhaske, Durga, Dhanashree Lakhan Solanke, Lakhan Shankar Solanke, Sonali Appasaheb Tribhuvan, Shrihari Dipak Kekane, Samrat Dipak Kekane, Sandesh Sandip Aswale, Anil Lahanu Sable, Prakash Hari Gangurde, Tanmay Laxman Kamble, Sandip Raghunath Aswale, Yashwant Vilas Sable, Girjeshwari Sandip Aswale, and two other children whose identities are yet to be determined.

Journey Cut Short

The victims of the accident had been on a return journey from Buldhana district, where they had visited the Baba Sailani Dargah. Their destination was Nashik, but the tragic incident altered the course of their journey.
