In a late-night incident, a fire erupted inside a warehouse in the Wadki area of Pune on Saturday. The prompt and efficient response of the Pune Municipal Corporation’s fire brigade teams averted a potential disaster as they successfully contained the blaze before it could spread to the residential areas situated above the warehouse.
Rapid Response Saves the Day
As per officials from the fire brigade department, they received the fire distress call at 11:39 PM, and within minutes, three firefighting vehicles were dispatched to the scene. The warehouse that became engulfed in flames housed electronic materials, including wires, machinery, and CCTV equipment. Positioned directly above the warehouse were residential flats, and the alert residents promptly evacuated their homes upon noticing the fire.
A Fortunate Turn of Events
Thankfully, the warehouse was unoccupied at the time of the incident, as it was closed. This stroke of luck translated into zero casualties or injuries reported. The skilled fire brigade team managed to extinguish the fire within half an hour of arriving at the scene.
