Xbox Series S 1TB Set to Launch on September 1 in India with Pricing Revealed

Gaming enthusiasts in India have something to look forward to as the Xbox Series S 1TB gaming console is set to hit the market on September 1, a few days ahead of its debut in the US. Microsoft had previously announced the introduction of a higher storage version of the affordable Xbox Series S gaming console at its Xbox Showcase and Xbox Games Showcase events earlier this year. The company has now provided further details, including the launch date and price, for the new console in India.

According to the official listing on the Xbox India website, the Xbox Series S 1TB variant will be priced at Rs 38,990 (ERP) in the country. It is important to note that this is an estimated price, and variations may exist across different retailers. For reference, the 512GB variant is currently listed at Rs 34,990, but it can be purchased for less on certain third-party shopping websites. The launch date in India precedes the US release, with the Xbox Series S 1TB becoming available in the US starting September 6 at a price of $349.99 (approximately Rs 29,000).

The higher storage capacity of the Xbox Series S 1TB variant will enable users to download more games without the need for an external memory card. Microsoft has focused on upgrading the storage capacity while retaining the same features and specifications. The new variant will also be introduced in a Carbon Black color option.

In terms of specifications, the Xbox Series S is equipped with a custom Zen 2 CPU and a custom RDNA 2 GPU, paired with a 197.05 mm2 disk space. It offers 10GB of GDDR6 128-bit-wide bus RAM and up to 1TB of SSD storage, with an input/output throughput of 4.8 GB/s. The higher storage variant of the affordable Xbox console supports gaming resolutions of up to 1440p and a screen refresh rate of up to 120fps. It incorporates features such as auto low latency mode, HDMI Variable Refresh Rate, and AMD FreeSync. As for audio capabilities, the gaming console supports various technologies, including Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1, and Dolby TrueHD with Atmos. In terms of connectivity, the Xbox Series S features an HDMI 2.1 port, three USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, Wi-Fi 802.11ac dual-band, and Ethernet 802.3 10/100/1000.

With the impending launch of the Xbox Series S 1TB variant in India, gaming enthusiasts can anticipate an enhanced gaming experience and increased storage capacity to accommodate their favorite games without the need for additional storage solutions.
