Empowering SC Youths in Maharashtra: BARTI and NIELIT Join Forces with 68 New IT Courses

In a significant step towards uplifting Scheduled Caste (SC) youth in Maharashtra, the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI) and the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) have come together to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This strategic collaboration aims to offer skill development programs tailored to the needs of SC youths across the state, providing them with valuable opportunities in the Information Technology (IT) and Electronics sectors.

A Landmark Partnership

The MoU signing ceremony took place at BARTI’s office in Pune, where the Director General of BARTI, Sunil Vare, and the Executive Director of NIELIT, Dr. Jairaj Kidav, formalized their commitment to this transformative partnership. The event saw the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including co-director of NIELIT, Dr. Laxman Korra, Deputy Collector and Head of the Skill Development Department of BARTI, Anil Karande, Office Superintendent Pragya Mohite, and Project Manager Mahesh Gavai.

A Brighter Future for SC Youths

This collaborative initiative, led by BARTI’s Skill Development Department, holds immense promise for the skill enhancement of SC youth in Maharashtra. It paves the way for brighter employment prospects in the IT and Electronics sectors, aligning with the government’s vision of inclusive growth.

Comprehensive IT Training

NIELIT is set to offer an extensive array of 68 courses at the Aurangabad center, making these opportunities accessible to SC youths statewide. These training programs will be available in both residential and non-residential formats, covering vital domains such as Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Android App Development, Machine Learning using Python, Web Development, System and Networking Specialist, Multimedia Development, Internet of Things, Industrial Automation, and Computer Hardware Maintenance. The training is scheduled to commence in October 2023, opening doors to a world of IT possibilities.

Sunil Vare, Director General of BARTI, called upon the youth to embrace the various schemes and activities meticulously crafted for the holistic development of Scheduled Castes through BARTI.
