Pune: Over the denial of his request to live in a relationship, the furious young man attempted to molest a 23-year-old in Yerawada. In this regard, a 23-year-old from Yerawada filed a complaint against the accused at the Yerawada police station on Wednesday, February 28.
The accused is identified as Prashant Bhingardive, 25, and he is originally a native of Ahmednagar. As per the police complaint, the accused was continuously chasing the girl and was asking the girl to live in relationship with him.
However, as the girl was not interested in him at all, she outrightly refused his request. However, out of anger over this, the accused started chasing and harassing the girl. Astonishingly, on Wednesday, February 28, when the victim was walking on the public road in front of her house, the accused obstructed her and attempted to molest her.
He held her hand tightly and attempted to outweigh her modesty. It has been further reported in the complaint that his further actions caused embarrassment and shame to the girl. In further advancement, the accused also tried to get physical with her.
After that, the girl rushed to the Yerawada police station. Based on the girl’s complaint, Yerawada police booked the accused under IPC 354, 354d, and 506 and started looking out for him. Assistant Police Inspector Patil is conducting further investigation.
