Pune: Prostitution Racket Busted in Alandi Lodge, Woman Rescued by Pimpri Chinchwad Police

Pune: In a decisive operation, the Anti-Human Traffic Cell of the Crime Branch under Pimpri Chinchwad Police has dismantled a prostitution racket operating within a lodge in the Alandi area. A young woman has been rescued from exploitation as a result of this intervention. The crackdown occurred on Monday evening (11th) at Shetkari Mala and Lodging, situated on Alandi-Markal Road.

The breakthrough came following a complaint filed by Police Constable Maruti Mahadev Karchunde, 36, at the Alandi police station. Acting on the information provided, two individuals, lodge driver Dinesh Nageshwar Yadav (42) and manager Vijay Shivcharan Yadav (30), were apprehended. Both have been charged under IPC 370(3), 34, for immoral trade, and arrested accordingly.

The Anti-Human Traffic Prevention Unit received intelligence regarding the illicit activities transpiring at Shetkari Mala and Lodging along Markal Road in Alandi. In a meticulously planned operation, undercover officers posed as customers to verify the allegations. Subsequently, a raid was conducted, resulting in the rescue of a young woman from a room within the lodge.

Investigations revealed that the accused were orchestrating a prostitution business, exploiting the victimised woman for monetary gain. Assistant Police Inspector Lohar is spearheading further inquiries into the matter to unearth any additional complicity or connections associated with the racket.
