Pune: Hotelier mistakenly attacked in Bhigwan, case registered against accused

Pune: A hotelier was mistakenly attacked with a sharp weapon by a gang who came to take revenge on the pretext of apologising for the dispute on bike taking a cut. The gang came to attack the man who took a cut from the bike but they attacked the other man mistakenly. A case of assault has been registered against five accused in Daund police station.

The arrested accused has been identified as Shivam Kamble a resident of Daund and the other four accomplices have escaped. Rahul Rajendra Dhavale a resident of Madanwadi has filed a complaint in this regard.

According to the sequence of events stated in the complaint when Akshay the brother of the plaintiff Rahul was bringing animal fodder the accused Shivam cut the bike and also took away the car key from Akshay and started abusing him. At that time Rahul called Shivam and settled the dispute. After four days passed the accused Shivam called Rahul and asked him to meet saying that he wanted to apologise. However, Rahul was with Vishal Dhumal a hotelier at Swami Chincholi in Daund area. Shivam went to meet Rahul at the same place. Four accomplices of Shivam came along with him on two bikes. All the five accused went to Rahul and asked who is Rahul and Shivam said that I am Shivam. All the five accused started beating Rahul and Vishal also the accused Shivam stabbed Vishal with a sharp weapon. At that time both Rahul and Vishal started shouting for help and in the meantime two of the accused snatched the gold chain from the neck of injured Vishal and were running away from the bike. The crowd gathered after hearing the shouting and they caught accused Shivam and handed him over to the police.

While the hotelier Vishal Dhumal had nothing to do with the whole incident the accused Shivam mistaken him for Rahul and brutally attacked him. Dhumal was seriously injured and was admitted at a hospital in Baramati for treatment.
