PUNE: A dance teacher sexually abused a 15-year-old girl (a resident of Hadapsar) after telling her that she was beautiful and he would help her to get roles in films. The incident has created a flutter.
The accused has been identified as Sushil Rajendra Kadam (32), a resident of Manjari Budruk and he has been arrested. According to the police, for the last six months, the victim was learning dance from the accused Sushil Kadam. He told her that she was beautiful and would help her to get roles in films. The girl informed her parents about this. The accused took the victim to different places for first look and sexually assaulted her each time. He had threatened her that he would kill her parents if she told anyone about her abuse. Hence, the victim did not inform her parents about her abuse.
The accused took the girl for the first look but since the girl’s mother had a doubt, she called him and asked him about their whereabouts. The accused gave evasive answers and told her that they were at a lodge in Saswad. The victim’s family members went there. The victim informed her parents about her abuse. After this incident, an FIR of sexual abuse has been registered against the accused and a probe is underway.
