Dr Nilesh Apar lands in ACB Nashik trap in connection with ₹40 lakh bribe case

NASHIK: The Nashik ACB has registered an FIR against Dindori Sub Divisional Officer Dr. Nilesh Apar (37), a resident of Dindori in Nashik district, for willing to accept a bribe of ₹40 lakh after demanding a bribe of ₹50 lakh. The registration of an FIR against a sub divisional officer has created ripples.

A 57-year-old resident of Mumbai had lodged a complaint at the ACB Nashik. SDO Dr. Nilesh Apar had demanded a bribe on May 22, 2023. The complainant owns a company at Dindori and the company had received a notice from Dr Apar and the complainant was orally told to stop production because he had not taken non-agriculture permission while constructing the company.

Dr Apar demanded a bribe of ₹50 lakh for not taking any action against the company and for re-starting the company and after a compromise, agreed to accept ₹40 lakh and hence, an FIR has been registered against Dr Apar.

Under the guidance of Nashik ACB SP Sharmistha Gharge-Walawalkar and Addl SP Madhav Reddy guided DySP Narendra Pawar, PI Sandeep Salunkhe, Havaldar Dongre, Havaldar Ingle in taking the action.
