Travelers Face Traffic Gridlock on Pune-Mumbai Expressway During Ganesh Festival Exodus

Earlier today, a significant traffic jam brought the Pune-Mumbai Expressway to a crawl, with vehicles lining up for several kilometers. This traffic congestion, according to officials, is a direct result of the festive season, as numerous people from Mumbai and Pune are embarking on journeys to celebrate the Ganesh festival.

Highway traffic police have been deployed to manage the traffic gridlock along the expressway and are working diligently to minimize inconveniences for commuters. However, despite their efforts, several travelers encountered heavy traffic jams, particularly in the ghat section and near toll plazas, where vehicles were queued up for several kilometers.

While the traffic situation posed challenges for many, some commuters expressed their appreciation for the proactive measures taken by the highway police to ensure that people do not remain stranded in traffic congestion for extended periods.

As the Ganesh festival celebrations kick off, the influx of travelers on major routes like the Pune-Mumbai Expressway is a common sight. Authorities are actively working to address traffic concerns and ensure the safety and convenience of all commuters during this festive season.
