Traffic Block on Pune-Mumbai Yashwantrao Chavan Expressway for Gantry Installation

The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) will be conducting technical inspections and repairs of gantries under the Highway Traffic Management System on the Yashwantrao Chavan Mumbai-Pune Expressway. These activities are scheduled for May 23, 2024, at kilometer 6.000 on the Pune-Mumbai route. Vehicle owners traveling this route are advised to use alternative roads during this period.

Scheduled Traffic Block

  • Date and Time: May 23, 2024, from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM.
  • Affected Route: Pune-Mumbai route on the expressway.
  • Diversion Details:
    • From 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM, traffic on the Pune-Mumbai route will be completely halted.
    • During this period, all vehicles on the expressway will be diverted towards Pune via National Highway 48 through Shedung and Khopoli.
    • Heavy vehicles on the Pune-Mumbai route will be diverted to the Khalapur toll naka at the last lane exit at KM 32.500, then directed to National Highway 48 (Old Pune-Mumbai Highway) through Shedung toll naka to Mumbai.
    • Vehicles will also be rerouted towards Panvel and then to the Mumbai route.

Diversion Routes

  • All Vehicles:
    • Diversion Point: Khopoli exit at KM 39.800.
    • Route: National Highway 48 (Old Pune-Mumbai Highway) via Khopoli city to Shedung Toll Naka to Mumbai.
  • Heavy Vehicles:
    • Diversion Point: Khalapur toll naka, last lane to Khalapur exit KM 32.500.
    • Route: National Highway 48 (Old Pune-Mumbai Highway) to Shedung toll naka to Mumbai.
