Skydiving Trailblazer Shital Mahajan Inspires Bharti University Audience with ‘Only Plan ‘A”

At a recent event hosted by Bharti Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU), renowned Indian skydiver Shital Mahajan, a Padma Shri awardee and proud alumna of the institution, shared her insights on the philosophy of “Only Plan ‘A'”—a mantra she passionately believes in and practices in her pursuit of skydiving excellence.

Mahajan, 41, made headlines by achieving a groundbreaking feat—she became the first woman in the world to execute a skydive from a helicopter at the staggering altitude of 21,500 feet in front of Mt Everest.

During a special felicitation ceremony at Yashwantrao Mohite College, Mahajan recounted her thrilling experience and underscored the importance of unwavering commitment to one’s goals. Her advocacy for having only a singular plan—Plan ‘A’—resonated with the audience as she emphasized the power of focus and determination in achieving lofty objectives.

The Vice-Chancellor of Bharti Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU), Dr Vivek Saoji, extended heartfelt congratulations to Mahajan, expressing pride in the achievements of students who surmount challenges and leave a global impact. The event also featured the felicitation of other notable personalities, including Professor Dr Suhas Mohite and Prof Arun Pawar from YM College of Bharti Vidyapeeth, Ulhas Pawar from the College of Ayurved, and the under-16 chess world champion, Akanksha Hagwane.
