Pune Weather Alert: IMD Issues Yellow Warning for Rainfall

Pune: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Pune and its surrounding areas as the weather forecast indicates the likelihood of light to very light rainfall over the next seven days.

According to the IMD’s predictions, the upcoming days in Pune are expected to be characterized by cloudy weather during the morning and afternoon hours. Some isolated areas may experience bouts of light to moderate rainfall.

The alert level signifies that residents and authorities should be cautious and prepared for possible weather-related impacts. While the forecast doesn’t indicate heavy rainfall, the unpredictable nature of weather systems warrants attention.

In addition to the alert for Pune, other regions in Maharashtra are also under the meteorological department’s scrutiny. Nagpur and Chandrapur have been issued an orange alert, indicating a higher level of caution, for the next three days. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are predicted for Marathwada in the upcoming days. Isolated areas across the state, including Pune, are expected to witness rainfall on August 21, 22, and 23.

Furthermore, Vidarbha and various districts of Maharashtra are also likely to experience thunderstorms along with lightning for the next three days. As these alerts are issued to keep citizens informed and prepared, it’s advisable for residents to stay updated with weather forecasts and advisories to ensure their safety and well-being during changing weather conditions.
