Pune: On Monday, January 8, five people from Osmandabad assaulted a husband and wife living in the Fursungi area and mistreated the woman by storming into their house. In this regard, a case has been registered against five people at Hadapsar police station.
A 40-year-old woman living in Fursungi filed a complaint on Monday (8th). Accordingly, police registered a complaint against Baburao Kale, Vilas Kale, Bapu Miskin, and two others (all residents of Domgaon, Taluka Paranda, District Osmanabad) under IPC 354, 354B, 452, 323, 504, 506, 143, 147, and 149.
As per the police reports, the victim couple lives in the Fursungi area of Hadapsar. The plaintiff mentioned that her son and accused Baburao Kale’s daughter eloped from the house and married a few days ago. The accused, enraged by this, broke into the plaintiff’s home yesterday and attacked the woman and her husband.
The accused brutally assaulted the plaintiff’s husband by locking him into the car, and then mistreated and molested the woman. The victim also complained that the accused further threatened to take her away with them if she opposed or told about this to anybody. The accused wreaked havoc and ransacked her house, apart from vandalising a few precious items.
Based on the woman’s complaint, Hadapsar police launched an investigation into the matter, and Sub-Inspector of Women Police Khalade is conducting further investigation into the case.
