Pune : The disgusting incident involving the sexual assault of a woman by threatening her to publicise a video of her taking a bath took place in Pune. In this case, a 35-year-old woman filed a police complaint against two accused at Hadapsar police station.
The accused in this case are identified as Balasaheb Appasaheb Pawar, 40, and Sushant Pawar. Both are residents of Karad in Satara. The 35-year-old woman living in Satara filed a complaint against both of them on Monday, January 8, at Hadapsar Police Station.
The complainant mentioned in the complaint that the accused, Balasaheb Pawar, is acquainted with her husband, and both are very good friends. On November 15, 2023, the plaintiff was planning to go to Pandharpur.
At that time, Balasaheb Pawar offered to drop the plaintiff at Pandharpur in his car. However, secretly, the accused brought the plaintiff to Pune instead of Pandharpur. There, he illicitly recorded the plaintiff’s video of her taking a shower on his phone. After that, the accused forcibly raped the plaintiff by threatening her to post that video on social media.
By threatening her, the accused repeatedly outraged a woman’s modesty after that. Furthermore, the accused’s one more friend, Sushant Pawar, also took advantage of the woman’s vulnerability in the unknown city, and he too assaulted her sexually.
After the woman filed a complaint against both of the accused yesterday. Accordingly, Hadapsar police registered a complaint against both the accused under sections 376/2/N, 376(d), 377, 354C, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. In this case, Assistant Police Inspector Jadhav is conducting further investigation.
