Pune: Two goons arrested for threatening & extorting money from gas agency owner

Pune: Uttamnagar Police have arrested two goons who were stealing gas by blocking the delivery boy of the Gas Agency and extorted money by threatening the agency owner.

The accused have been identified as Amol Parasuram Raikar (30) a resident of Bhairavanath nagar, Kondhawe Dhawade and Somnath Uddhav Komile (32) a resident of Gosavi Vasti at Ramnagar in Malwadi. The complainant Chandan Singh Bhawar Singh Bhati (23) a resident of Donje has lodged a complaint with the Uttamnagar Police Station. This incident took place in Kopare village between October 3 and 5 .

According to the police, the accused have targeted the delivery boys of the Prithvi HP Gas Agency, Ambika Gas Agency, Atish Gas Suppliers, Goldman HP Gas Agency and Bhareker Gas agency in Kothrud. The accused used to stop the cylinder boy and abused them and also took Rs 3300 from them. The accused demanded Rs 15,000 per month as an extortion amount and extracted Rs 5000 from the gas agency owners.“

Police have arrested both the accused and Assistant Police lnspector Pawar is investigating the case.
