PUNE: The state cabinet had approved creating two new posts of DCPs for Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. Accordingly, the Home Ministry has transferred two DCPs to the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. The transfer orders have been issued by Under Secretary Swapnil Gopal Borse.
The police commissioner had sent a proposal to create two extra posts of DCP to control the increasing crime graph in the city. Accordingly, the posts have been created. The burden on the commissionerate has increased due to increasing urbanisation, industrialisation, accidents, increase in crime rate etc and hence, approval for creating two more posts of DCPs has been given.
1) DCP Sandeep Doifode (SP, Force One) to DCP (Pimpri Chinchwad)
2) DCP Shivaji Panditrao Pawar (Addl SP, Maharashtra Police Academy, Nashik) to DCP (Pimpri Chinchwad)
