Pune: Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust: More than 2,000 students take part in Atharvasheersha recital

PUNE: More than 2,000 students recited Atharvasheersha on Wednesday morning in front of the idol of Lord Ganesh of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust. The atmosphere was very pleasant and devotional.

The consecration of the deity of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust took place on Tuesday. The trust has organised various religious and social programmes during the festival. Accordingly, on Wednesday morning, the recital of Atharvasheersha was held. Two thousand and one hundred and fifty students of Nutan Marathi Vidyalaya and Nutan Marathi Shala of the Shikshan Prasarak Mandali took part in the recital. The Trustee of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust and Festive Head, Punit Balan, Dhol Tasha Mahasangh President and SPM’s Trustee Parag Thakur, NMV School Principal Kangune and teachers were present.

Students who had won the inter-school competition were honoured and presented prizes. The trust had organised three competitions for students i.e. 1) Making eco-friendly Ganesh idol 2) Painting competition 3) Essay competition

The winners of these competitions were given prizes. An aarti was performed later by Dhol Tasha Mahasangh President and SPM’s Trustee Parag Thakur.

The Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust has organised a health camp from September 20-26 from 10 am till 5 pm. The camp is getting a good response. It is free and tests like blood sugar, cholesterol, bilirubin, creatine, SGOT/SGPT will be performed for free, said the Trustee of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust and Festive Head, Punit Balan.
