Vistara Boosts Connectivity: Pune to Singapore Flight to Operate Six Days a Week

In a significant development for air travelers between Pune and Singapore, Vistara Airlines has announced that its Pune to Singapore flight will soon operate six days a week, starting from mid-December 2023.

Santosh Dhoke, the Airport Director at Pune Airport, stated, “The Pune-Singapore Vistara flight will fly for six days in a week. This will take place mostly from mid-December. Other details of the flight will be out soon.”

The decision to enhance the flight frequency has been warmly welcomed by the public and netizens, anticipating improved connectivity and travel options.

Dr. Sudhir Mehta, Leader of Pune Platform for Collaborative Response (PPCR), expressed his delight on Twitter, stating, “Delighted to report that Pune Singapore flight will now operate 6 days a week as all the requisite permissions are received. Thanks to JM Scindia, Vinod Kannan, CEO, Air Vistara, Pune Airport Director & the Air Force for their support.”

Earlier, Dr. Mehta had hinted at the possibility of the Pune-Singapore flight becoming a daily service from December. Acknowledging the flight’s success and the increasing demand from both recreational and business travelers, efforts were made to encourage Air Vistara to elevate the frequency. The positive response from Air Vistara, with necessary approvals applied for, signals the potential transformation of the flight into a daily service, providing more options and flexibility for travelers.

This strategic move is expected to enhance international connectivity for Pune, aligning with the city’s growing prominence in the aviation sector.
