PIMPRI: Deputy CM Ajit Pawar was welcomed by NCP activists with great enthusiasm on Friday morning in Pimpri. When Pawar arrived at Mukai Chowk at Ravet, he was welcomed by lighting crackers and beating of dhol tashas.
Later, activists of NCP took part in the rally in a fleet of Bullet motorcycles. The activists violated noise pollution norms by using the silencers to create very loud and disturbing noise. This happened in front of police officers. Hence, it remains to be seen whether the police will take action against these activists.
Generally, the police act promptly against vehicles or programmes where noise pollution norms are violated. Now, citizens are wondering whether the police will take stern action against NCP activists.
