Pune: A 26-year-old girl living in Kharadi was raped by a person living in Gujrat by promising her marriage. In this regard, the victim girl filed a complaint against the accused, Sambhav Rameshchandra Wariya, 33, at Hadapsar police station yesterday.
The accused individual is a resident of Ahmadabad, Gujarat, and initially contacted the girl on a gaming platform named ‘Real Chess Game’. After some initial contact with each other on the gaming app, both shared their numbers and started talking with each other. Meanwhile, the accused individual falsely lured the plaintiff by promising her a fake marriage proposal.
After that, he several times forcibly kept a physical relationship with her, sexually assaulting the victim by coming to Pune. When the plaintiff opposed him, it is mentioned in the complaint that he abused the plaintiff and also assaulted her. This incident took place between November 2022 and October 2023.
In this regard, the victim girl filed a complaint against the accused at Hadapsar police station yesterday. Accordingly, police registered a complaint against the accused under sections 376, 376/2/N, and 323 of the Indian Penal Code. Police sub-inspector Shegar of Hadpsar police station is now conducting further investigation into the case.
