Pune: Lok Adalat Reduces Fines of 1701 Motorists with Pending Traffic Violation Cases

Pune: In a proactive move to address pending cases related to traffic rule violations, the Pune District Legal Services Authority has organized a dedicated Lok Adalat. This initiative, aimed at guiding motorists, has been operational since August 28, 2023, and is scheduled to continue until September 8, 2023.

The Lok Adalat event is set to take place at the Deputy Commissioner of Police Traffic Branch Office, near Yerwada Post Office, Pune, on September 9, 2023. The primary objective is to assist motorists in resolving their pending traffic violation cases.

To facilitate this process, a “Helpdesk” has been established at the Deputy Commissioner Traffic Branch Office in Yerwada, Pune. This assistance center is designed to provide guidance to citizens regarding their traffic violations. It has received an enthusiastic response from motorists seeking to address their pending traffic citations.

During the period from August 28, 2023, to September 2, 2023, a total of 1701 motorists voluntarily acknowledged their traffic rule violations at the “Helpdesk.” The dedicated team at the Deputy Commissioner of Police Traffic Branch Office in Yerwada, Pune, worked diligently to address the pending traffic citations associated with these vehicles.

The Pune City Traffic Branch and the District Legal Services Authority, Pune, encourage vehicle owners with pending traffic citations to visit the “Helpdesk” before the Lok Adalat session on September 9, 2023. To expedite the resolution process, they are encouraged to bring a photocopy of their Aadhaar card.
