PUNE: The Wanawadi police have registered an FIR against former minister Balasaheb Shivarkar’s son Abhijit, a former corporator, and 14 others for molesting a woman after threatening her over a dispute about the fencing of a plot.

The FIR has been registered against Abhijit Balasaheb Shivarkar, Bhaskar Ratnakar Gaikwad, his wife, son, Rajesh Khairalia, Kiran Chetri (a resident of Wanwadigaon) and four others. A woman has lodged a complaint at the Wanawadi police station.

The woman owns ancestral land in the Mahatma Phule Sanskrutik Bhavan area. She had got the land measured by a government officer and the work of fencing the land was going on. At that time, Shivarkar stopped the workers and removed the iron rods.

Shivarkar and Gaikwad told the complainant that they were owners of the land and abused her. The complainant was told to leave the area and was threatened that she would be killed if she was seen in the area.
