Pune Education Department Exposes Unrecognised Schools Duping Students And Parents

Pune: In a significant crackdown, the Haveli Panchayat Samiti group education officer, Nilima Mhatre, unveiled a list of 15 unauthorised schools in Pune city that had allegedly duped thousands of students and their parents by falsely claiming government approval.

The exposed schools are accused of engaging in financial irregularities, including collecting unnecessary documents for admission, charging fees without proper authority, and violating government regulations. These unscrupulous institutions are reported to have illegally registered students on the board, demanded certificates from other schools, and misused government revenue.

Furthermore, some schools provided misleading reports of the closure of schools to the education department, in direct contravention of the Right to Education (RTE) Act and the Self-Financing Act. Additionally, several schools allegedly lack physical facilities, and crucial information such as the school recognition number, affiliation number, and UDIS number are not displayed on their premises.

Kalpavriksha English School, Kirkatwadi
Craze English Medium School, Kolhewadi, Khadakwasla
Pune International School, Ashtapur Mala, Loni Kalbhor
Chatrabhuj Narsi School, Amanora Part Town, Hadapsar
