In a distressing incident, three individuals from Dreamcaster Tours and Travels in Pune have been accused of fraudulent activities related to the Chardham Yatra. A case has been registered against them, following a complaint filed by Ranjit Tulshidas Pawar, a resident of Satara.
According to Pawar, he paid an amount of fifty-six thousand rupees to the accused for the Chardham Yatra, which never took place. The accused individuals have been identified as Rishikesh Ramchandra Bhadale, Sanket Ramchandra Bhadale, and Supriya Sanket Bhadale, all residents of Dhayari.
The fraudulent incident unfolded when Rishikesh Bhadale, one of the accused, collected an initial booking amount of twenty-one thousand rupees from Pawar on February 26. This transaction took place at the Travels office near Ajinkyatara Mitra Mandal in Dhayari. Pawar was then led to believe in the authenticity of the yatra by Sanket Bhadale, who sent him various messages regarding the Chardham Yatra.
Further complicating matters, Supriya Sanket Bhadale, Sanket’s wife, provided Pawar with a QR code and requested the remaining thirty-five thousand rupees to be sent. However, it turned out to be a scam, as the trip was never arranged, and Pawar fell victim to their deceitful practices.
As the investigation unfolded, it was discovered that 145 other individuals had also been defrauded by the accused. The total amount involved in this fraudulent scheme is estimated to be around forty lakhs.
In response to this alarming situation, the Sinhagad police station, part of the Pune City Police, has urged other victims who have been cheated in a similar manner to come forward and report the incident. Those who have been deceived from Navi Mumbai, Pune, Karmala, Lonavala, and surrounding areas are encouraged to contact the authorities. Assistant Police Inspectors Bharat Chandanshiv and Satish Patil are overseeing the investigation, determined to bring the culprits to justice.
