Sudhanwa Joglekar, a prominent member of The Photographic Society of Pune, shared insights into the event, stating, “Every year on World Photography Day, we curate exhibitions featuring a variety of photographic themes. This year’s focus was on Landscape photography. The exhibition featured an impressive collection of approximately 120 photographs contributed by various photographers. Additionally, we also displayed a selection of images from a contest held in honor of our organization’s anniversary on August 12th.”

As photography continues to evolve alongside technological advancements in cameras and equipment, the exhibition reflected the changing trends in style, vibrancy, and image clarity. Joglekar emphasized the growth of the photography field, expressing his satisfaction at witnessing its continuous expansion.

Col (Retd) Satish Mallik, another esteemed member of The Photographic Society of Pune, shared his enthusiasm for photography and his involvement in the exhibition. “I’m a dedicated photography enthusiast, and I had the privilege of showcasing three of my photographs at the exhibition. The event featured the work of around 40 photographers, each contributing their unique perspectives. For those aspiring to carve a path in professional photography, mastery of the craft and artistic expression are paramount. In today’s society, there is a proliferation of photographers, and to stand out, aspiring professionals must possess skills, originality, and a distinctive touch. With these qualities, the possibilities to excel and become recognized photographers are limitless.”
