Pune businessman gets extortion threat, caller identifies himself as Santosh Jadhav arrested in Moose Wala murder

Pune: A 34-year-old businessman from Kothrud has received a death threat for a ransom. The caller identified himself as Santosh Jadhav, a sharp shooter arrested in the singer Sidhu Moose Wala murder case. He told the entrepreneur that he was given a Rs 15- lakh supari (contract killing).

Moose Wala was killed by a Canada-based gangster on May 29, 2022. Sharp shooter Jadhav was hired for the purpose. Later, Jadhav and his accomplices were arrested under the MCOCA from Gujarat.

The businessman lodged a complaint at the Kothrud Police Station in this regard. His FIR stated that he had been keeping unwell for the past some days. He received a call on Saturday evening when he was at his home in Kothrud. The caller identified himself as Santosh Jadhav and asked the businessman if he had heard about the Moose Wala murder.

The FIR further stated that the caller said he had got a supari (contract killing) of Rs 15 lakh to kill the businessman. Then he asked the complainant how much he would pay to save his life. The caller then abused the complainant and also threatened to kill his wife and children before Diwali. Then the caller demanded Rs 50,000 immediately.

The businessman immediately approached the Kothrud Police Station. The police are investigating the matter.
