Pune: VK Group, a Pune-based multi-disciplinary consultancy firm, organized a blood donation camp as a social initiative through their NGO, Sustainability Initiatives. The Blood Donation Camp was organized in collaboration with Deenanath Mangeshkar Blood Bank. Camp was held on 31st January 2024.
During the drive, which took place at VK Group Office, Senapati Bapat Road Pune, a total of 115 employees expressed their willingness to donate blood. Out of these, 102 employees were found eligible and successfully completed their blood donation in this day camp. Employees of Strudcom Consultancy also participated actively.
In attendance at this significant occasion were Sachin Vyavhare and Dr. Ashwini Joshi from Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital; Rupa Bandal from Deenanath Mangeshkar Blood Bank.
Founder of VK Group ,senior Architect Vishwas Kulkarni, Architect Hrishikesh Kulkarni, Ms. Apoorva Kulkarni and Architect Anagha Paranjape Purohit, Nikhil Inamdar from Strudcom Consultancy,Amol Umberje from Sustainability Initiatives and Barish Date of Graphics Beyond were present.
This initiative holds special significance as VK Group, celebrating its 50th year, continues its commitment to social responsibility. Last year, 66 employees contributed to a similar blood donation drive, marking it as an annual tradition for VK Group. The firm remains dedicated to organizing such camps every year as part of its ongoing social outreach efforts.
