The Pune Airport is set to revolutionize the travel experience by expediting the inclusion of additional airlines for the DigiYatra facility. The move aims to enhance airport security and streamline boarding procedures, making travel more accessible and efficient for passengers.

DigiYatra, a digital initiative by India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation, is designed to offer passengers a seamless and paperless travel experience. Leveraging biometric technologies, such as facial recognition, DigiYatra eliminates the need for paper documents at various checkpoints, including security, boarding gates, and check-in counters. The initiative focuses on optimizing flyer convenience, reducing wait times, and enhancing overall aviation efficiency.

  4. Capture Selfie: Take a selfie as prompted and upload it to the app.
  5. Update Boarding Pass: Update your boarding pass on the DigiYatra App and share it with the departure airport.

With Akasa Air already onboard and Air Asia slated to join from January 1, 2024, the move is a significant stride toward digital transformation.
