In a bid to bolster its ranks ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Congress party has extended an invitation to Vasant More, a prominent political figure who recently parted ways with the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). Mohan Joshi, a senior leader of the Congress, met with More on Wednesday at the latter’s office to discuss potential collaboration.

“I have urged Vasant More to consider joining the Congress and leveraging his experience and networks to strengthen our presence in Pune,” stated Joshi, highlighting the strategic importance of More’s involvement in expanding the party’s reach.
Responding to the overtures from multiple political factions, More indicated that he is carefully evaluating his options and will announce his decision within the next two days. Having served as a three-time corporator in the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), More commands considerable influence, particularly in the Katraj area of the city.
