NIBM Kausarbaug Residents Demand Action Against Encroachment Menace

Residents of NIBM Kausarbaug in Kondhwa, particularly those residing in societies like Manish Park and Kumar Pragati, are raising urgent concerns over the rampant encroachment plaguing their neighborhoods.

According to committee members from affected societies, scrap dealers have unlawfully occupied pavements, obstructing pedestrian pathways and creating significant challenges for daily commuters.

Speaking anonymously, a committee member from Manish Park Phase 1 emphasized the severity of the situation, citing persistent pleas to address the encroachment issue. Despite repeated appeals, the presence of scrap dealers remains unchecked, posing safety risks and hindering pedestrian movement.

Similarly, residents of Kumar Pragati voiced their frustrations over the proliferation of encroachments, including illegal business operations, which have encroached upon public spaces and forced pedestrians onto hazardous roads.

In response to mounting concerns, Rahul Bokan, Encroachment Inspector at Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), has assured residents that the matter will be promptly investigated, offering hope for a resolution to the longstanding issue.

The situation in NIBM Kausarbaug underscores the immediate need for proactive measures from authorities to reclaim public spaces and ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
