Massive Fire Engulfs Godown in Talawade; Rs 20 Lakh Worth Loss Reported, No Casualties

In a dramatic incident on the night of February 27th, a massive fire erupted at a godown located in Jyotiba Nagar, Talawade, causing a reported loss of Rs 20 lakhs. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported in the incident.

According to Laxman Howale, PCMC Fire Official, the fire broke out at Sector no 254, Jyotiba Nagar, Talawade, and was reported to the fire brigade at 2:16 am on Tuesday. The swift response from the personnel of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), including the Talwade sub-fire station and four other fire stations, was instrumental in containing the fire. Due to the intensity of the blaze, it required the deployment of 5 fire tenders to completely extinguish the flames.

While the operation successfully averted casualties or injuries, the financial toll amounted to Rs 20 lakh. Various items, including plywood, electric wiring, sheds, and more, were completely burnt in the incident.

Gautam Ingawale, Sub Officer, along with Laxman Howale, Leading Fireman, and other fire officials, played crucial roles in executing the firefighting operation and preventing the fire from spreading further.
