Vistara Flight Delay Sparks Passenger Frustration at Pune Airport

A recent video shared on social media captured the frustration of over 100 passengers at Pune airport due to the delay of Vistara’s UK974 Pune to Delhi flight. While passengers expressed their grievances, the airline clarified that the flight was delayed and not canceled.

A passenger, Pranali Shah, took to social media to bring attention to the situation, urging Vistara and DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) to intervene. In her tweet, she mentioned, “More than 120 passengers are waiting at Pune airport, and staff are not cooperating with us. They have canceled the flight just because their head crew is ill, like seriously.”

In subsequent tweets, Shah highlighted the lack of assistance from the call center, stating, “The call center guy refused to provide information while departing at 6:40 and did not handle it.” Vistara responded, acknowledging the inconvenience and explaining that the delay was due to operational reasons beyond their control.

Vistara further advised passengers to check real-time flight updates on their website and assured them that efforts were underway to expedite the departure. Despite the airline’s response, passengers expressed frustration over the ordeal.

Upon reaching out to Pune airport officials, it was confirmed that the flight eventually departed at 8:40 am and landed in Delhi at 10:30 am, deviating significantly from its scheduled departure time of 5:35 am.
