Chakan, 5th November 2023: A devastating accident occurred in Rase Phata, claiming the life of a 12-year-old boy and leaving his father seriously injured. The incident transpired on Saturday at 2:30 pm when a speeding tempo collided with their bike.
The severely injured individual has been identified as 39-year-old Shrimant Bhima Dhanve, a resident of Shikrapur in Taluka Shirur. His 12-year-old son tragically lost his life in the accident. Shrimant Dhanve has officially reported the incident to the Chakan police station, leading to the detention of Bandu Sudam Dhaybar, the alleged driver of the Eicher Tempo (MH 16 CD 0962) involved in the collision.
According to authorities, the driver, Bandu Dhaybar, was operating the Eicher Tempo recklessly. While traveling on Shikrapur Chakan Road and approaching Rase Phata, Dhaybar’s tempo collided with Dhanve’s bike, causing both the father and son to fall. The child succumbed to his injuries, while Shrimant Dhanve sustained severe injuries. The Chakan police have launched an investigation into the incident.
