A horrifying incident unfolded in Hirdoshi village, Bhor, as a swarm of bees descended upon devotees during the Ganesh visarjan near a dam. The chaotic bee attack left over 100 people injured, many of whom were engaged in prayer before immersing their Ganesh idols.
The incident transpired near the Nira Deoghar Dam around 3:30 pm on Saturday when devotees were fervently conducting prayers as part of the visarjan rituals. Villagers from Somjai Vasti, Haralicha Mal, and Takicha Mal regions of Hirdoshi village traditionally converge at this site for the immersion of their Ganesh idols. Among those present during the bee attack were children, women, and senior citizens, all of whom sustained varying degrees of injuries.
The sudden bee assault triggered pandemonium across the village, with people desperately seeking refuge from the aggressive swarm. Once the bees eventually dispersed, the injured were promptly transported to a nearby primary healthcare center for essential medical attention. Fortunately, most of the injured individuals received primary treatment and were discharged shortly after.
This harrowing incident has left the community shaken, prompting discussions on the need for enhanced safety measures during public gatherings and religious celebrations.
