In a harrowing incident on Monday night, a 29-year-old woman medical staffer became a victim of molestation and robbery as she commuted home after completing her duty at the Hospital. The perpetrators, riding an unidentified motorcycle, targeted her on Right Flank Road near Command Hospital at approximately 12:15 am.
According to the police report, faced with the unavailability of auto-rickshaws and taxi cabs, the medical staffer opted to walk home. The assailants, on a two-wheeler, approached her. When she resisted their advances, they subjected her to molestation, physical assault, and forcefully snatched her mobile phone before swiftly fleeing the scene.
An FIR (First Information Report) has been registered, and the police are actively investigating the case.
