Motorcycle Noise Dispute Turns Fatal: Tenant Arrested for Assault and Drowning in Pune

In a shocking turn of events, a tenant in Uruli Kanchan village, Pune, allegedly assaulted and drowned the house owner in a water tank, fueled by anger over the relentless noise from the owner’s motorcycle racing activities characterized by excessive accelerator usage.

The accused, Santosh Rajendra Dhotre (37), has been apprehended, and a case has been registered at the Loni Kalbhor Police Station. The tragic incident unfolded in Khandoba Mal, Uruli Kanchan, between 12:30 and 12:30 on a Sunday afternoon.

The victim, Dada Gyandev Ghule, aged 50 and residing at Khandoba Mal, Uruli Devachi, met a grim fate. Following a complaint lodged by his nephew, Prathamesh Santosh Ghule (19), the police swiftly acted, leading to the arrest of Santosh Rajendra Dhotre.

The accused, who lived with his family as a tenant in the same chawl, allegedly became increasingly agitated by the noise emanating from Ghule’s motorcycle. This frustration culminated in a verbal altercation that quickly escalated into a physical confrontation. In a fit of rage, Dhotre allegedly assaulted Ghule, ultimately submerging him in a water tank.
