Ayodhya’s Spirit in Pune: Yogi Adityanath Joins Ganesh Festival

Pune: Yogi Adityanath to Join Grand Ganesh Festival at Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Trust

This year’s Ganeshotsav in Pune promises to be nothing short of magnificent as the Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Sarvajanik Ganpati Trust gears up for an extravagant celebration. Drawing inspiration from Ayodhya’s iconic Ram Mandir, the Trust has erected a magnificent pandal and extended a gracious invitation to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, to partake in the festivities.

A spokesperson for the organizing committee has unveiled intriguing details about the pandal’s design, which closely replicates the majestic architecture of the Ram Mandir. Within this splendid structure, Lord Ram will be seated, accompanied by the ten avatars adorning the sides. To add to the grandeur, a Ram Setu is being meticulously constructed as the entrance, while the pandal will feature an awe-inspiring display of fifteen to twenty statues of Lord Hanuman, each holding a sacred stone in their hands.

The official confirmation has arrived that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, has accepted the invitation and pledged his presence at the Dagdusheth celebrations. Additionally, organizers have shared the exciting news that the installation of the Lord Ganesh idol within the pandal will be conducted under the auspices of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief, Mohan Bhagwat.

The selection of the Ram Mandir theme serves a dual purpose, offering visitors a unique preview of what the temple will look like when it opens its doors to the public in Ayodhya in January 2024.

The dedicated team has been diligently toiling on the pandal for the past two months, with the completion anticipated within the next day or two. In anticipation of a significant surge in visitors, the organizing committee has expressed that while the pandal typically attracts around two crore visitors annually, this year they are expecting an astounding five crore visitors to grace the spectacular celebration.
