AAP Sounds Alarm Bells Over Mula Mutha River Pollution: Demands Transparency on Project Expenses

Pune : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has taken a proactive stance in addressing the escalating pollution levels in Pune’s crucial Mula Mutha river. City President Sudarshan Jagdale led a delegation that confronted the Pune Municipal Corporation, demanding transparency and accountability for the expenses associated with the river’s development project.

The AAP officials, armed with collected water samples, navigated through resistance from security guards to draw attention to the urgency of the matter. During a heated meeting with municipal authorities, Jagdale emphasized the necessity of a comprehensive white paper detailing both expenses and progress related to the river development project.

In a bold move, AAP representatives called for a press conference to be held within the next seven days, aiming to apprise the public of the current status of the project. The party’s persistent efforts also uncovered issues with the Ramnadi river, leading to a commitment from municipal authorities to address false evidence submitted to regulatory bodies.

Advocate Krunal Ghare stressed the importance of collaborative efforts between AAP and the Pune Municipal Corporation to effectively combat the river pollution crisis. The meeting concluded with a commitment from municipal authorities to convene on Monday, where they will comprehensively address the concerns raised by the AAP delegation.

The active participation of various AAP officials in the meeting underscored the party’s unwavering dedication to environmental conservation and public welfare. As the city awaits further developments, the AAP’s demand for transparency in project expenses continues to resonate, amplifying the urgency of addressing pollution concerns in Pune’s vital water bodies.
