Pune: In a shocking incident a 24-year-old woman was beaten and molested in broad daylight on Aranyeshwar Road on Sunday, October 15 at around 12:30pm. A case has been registered against two accused at Sahakar Nagar police station.
A case has been registered under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 354A, 323, 504 and 34 against Akshay Shinde a resident of Tangewala Colony in Pune and his accomplice. A woman, a resident of Bibvewadi has filed a complaint at the Sahakar Nagar police station.
According to the police, “The plaintiff was talking with her friend in front of a shop in Tulshi Baug. At that time, the accused Akshay Shinde unnecessarily abused the plaintiff. Also, later when plaintiff was going with her friend’s on her bike she was chased by the accused and the accused molested her at Navjeevan Mitra Mandal and also beat her with his hands.”
The further investigation in the case is being conducted by woman police sub-inspector Kale.
