Currently, 187 of these centers are in use by the Municipal Corporation, and 392 plots have been allocated under lease deeds. Despite 194 such leases being granted every month, a significant 172 plots still await occupancy.

Commercial plot leases typically span 5 to 10 years, contingent on citizen demand, with fees ranging from Rs 3 to 10 lakhs. In the 2022-23 financial year, the Land and Life Department recorded its highest income, generating a substantial revenue of 3 crore 43 lakhs from land rent. However, the potential for additional revenue in the current financial year remains untapped as these 172 vacant shops await occupants.
