PIMPRI: The Pimpri Chinchwad police have arrested two persons for planning to avenge the murder of Janseva Vikas Samiti Founder and Director Kishor Aware and foiled their plan. The police have seized four pistols and 14 live cartridges from the accused.
The accused have been identified as Pramod Sandbhor and Sharad Salvi and they have ben remanded in police custody till July 1. Cases like murder and rape are registered against Sharad Salvi and eight cases of murder and attempt to murder are registered against Sandbhor. The Pimpri Chinchwad police are probing who was their target and no information about the target is available.
On May 12, Janseva Vikas Samiti Founder and Director Kishor Aware had been killed after being fired at and by using sharp weapons. In this connection, Gourav Khalde and six others have been arrested. On the other hand, a conspiracy to take revenge for Aware’s murder has been exposed by the police. Pramod Sandbhor and Sharad Salvi have been arrested.
Four pistols and 14 live cartridges have been seized from them. Sandbhor is involved in land dealings in Talegaon and Sharad Salvi was released on bail in a murder case two months ago. They had recently gone to Nashik because one of their aides was going to be released from the jail. The Pimpri Chinchwad police have arrested them against this background.
According to police sources, these activities were going on to avenge Aware’s murder. The police are trying to find out what was the plan of the accused and who they were going to target. Pramod was close to Kishor Aware, according to available information. The action was taken by PI Jitendra Kadam, API Amrish Deshmukh, policemen Sumit Devkar, Ashish Bankar, Ganesh Sawant, Ganesh Hinge, Vinod Veer, Ganesh Kokne and Pravin Kamble under the guidance of Vinoy Kumar Choubey.
