As winter maintains its grip on Maharashtra, Mumbai and its suburbs continue to experience chilly weather. On Friday, Matheran recorded a minimum temperature of 14.2 degrees Celsius, while Mumbai registered 16.9 degrees Celsius.

Cold winds are sweeping through Mumbai, particularly during the night and afternoon hours. Until January 23, the forecast indicates that the minimum morning temperature in Mumbai and Konkan will hover around 14 degrees Celsius, with the maximum afternoon temperature reaching 26 degrees Celsius.

In South Konkan, a slight increase in maximum temperature is anticipated. From now until January 23, districts like Nandurbar, Dhule, Jalgaon, Nashik, Ahmednagar, Pune, Uttar Satara, and Jalna can expect morning temperatures between 10-12 degrees and maximum afternoon temperatures of 26 degrees Celsius.

The remaining districts of Vidarbha and Marathwada will witness minimum morning temperatures ranging from 14-16 degrees Celsius, with maximum afternoon temperatures reaching 28 degrees Celsius until January 23.

Looking ahead to January 25, Vidarbha can expect cloudy weather, and the cold is expected to subside somewhat. Meteorological experts suggest a possibility of minor rain in very rare places.

As the cold spell persists, residents of Maharashtra are advised to bundle up and prepare for chilly days ahead.
