Ford Endeavour Set for a Comeback in India: What’s in Store for SUV Enthusiasts?

In an exciting turn of events, American car manufacturer Ford is rumored to be gearing up for a comeback in the Indian market with its popular SUV, the Endeavour. After a hiatus in sales and business throughout 2021, recent reports indicate that Ford has filed a design patent for the Endeavour and is planning its reintroduction in India.

While the company has not officially disclosed any details, industry insiders speculate that the brand might assemble the upcoming Endeavour at its Chennai plant. The recent decision to retain its factory, rather than selling it to the JSW Group, adds weight to the possibility of Ford’s re-entry into the Indian market. There are also hints that the initial batch of the SUV might be imported via Completely Built Units (CBUs), with potential modifications to the strategy later on.

Launching in 2025?

If the reports hold true, enthusiasts can anticipate the presence of the updated Ford Endeavour on Indian roads by next year. However, an official confirmation from the brand is still awaited.

Exterior Updates

In the international market, where the model is known as the Everest, the Endeavour boasts a muscular and edgy style. It shares a platform with the Ranger pickup and features a striking design with fully LED headlights, C-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), side cladding, and aggressive alloy wheels. Despite these modern updates, the vehicle retains its classic charm.

Interior Changes

Inside, the international model offers a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system equipped with advanced connectivity technologies, including Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and more. A 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster provides essential information such as speed, RPM, mileage, and gear position. Notable features include Intersection Assist, Pre-Collision Assist, lane keep assist, hands-free parking, adaptive cruise control, ambient lighting, wireless charging, and a 360-degree camera.

As Ford potentially prepares to re-enter the Indian market, SUV enthusiasts eagerly await official announcements and a closer look at the upgraded Endeavour.
