In an unexpected turn of events, unseeded Ashwin Narsinghani emerged as the lone disruptor, causing an upset by defeating the seventh-seeded Sarth Bansode with a score of 6-4, 6-4. This remarkable victory secured Ashwin’s spot in the boys’ singles semifinals at the 13th Edition of the Om Dalvi Memorial Dr. Nitu Mandke Trophy All India Ranking U-18 Super Series Tennis Tournament 2023. The event was organized by the Om Dalvi Memorial Trust under the patronage of AITA, MSLTA and took place at the Om Dalvi Memorial Tennis School, Maharashtra Police Tennis Gymkhana (MT), Parihar Chowk, Aundh, Pune.
The top-seeded Parth Deorukhakar, third-seeded Jay Pawar, and fourth-seeded Anmol Nagpure were the other boys who advanced to the semi-finals, promising intense competition in the upcoming matches.
In the girls’ section, eighth-seeded Anandi Bhutada was the sole seeded player to secure a spot in the semifinals. Joining her were Swapnika Roy, Shreya Pathare, and Dhruvi Adyanthaya, all displaying exceptional prowess on the court.
