Pune: Modi will get votes for his education and youth policies: BJP State Vice-President Rajesh Pande

Raj Thackeray, Devendra Fadnavis, Ajit Pawar to address poll rallies in the last leg of campaign

Pune: BJP State Vice-President Rajesh Pande has expressed confidence that the youth from Pune will vote for the Maha Yuti-BJP candidate in a big way. He was speaking at a press meet on Monday.

Pande said, “The NDA government has made fundamental changes in the education policy. The National Education Policy 2020 emphasises on skill development. The pre-primary education has been included in it for the first time. Skilled manpower will be produced on a large scale as students will be able to acquire two degrees. Only PM Narendra Modi can work for the youth’s welfare. Pune is known as the Oxford of the East. Due to the revolutionary decisions in the education sector, the youth from Pune will vote for the BJP candidate i.e. PM Modi in a big way.”

Pune Lok Sabha Incharge Shrinath Bhimale, BJP City Unit Vice-President Shyam Deshpande, Prashant Harsule, Lahuji Kranti Sena’s Nitin Waidande, State Spokesman Sanjay Mayekar and Hemant Lele were present.

Pande said, “Pune is a seat of learning. It is an IT hub. The Modi government has taken many youth-centric decisions. This has given a boost to the industry. Many start-ups have been launched in Pune. The Modi government’s Start-up India, Stand-up India and Make in India, PMEGP have encouraged new research and initiatives. The State Government held job fairs in all districts, which provided employment to the youth on a big scale. The State Government organised 1,473 job fairs in various districts during 2014-2019 and 2021 to 2023. In all, 13,000 entrepreneurs were invited to recruit 2.5 lakh employees. The State Government will soon fill 72,000 vacancies in various departments. The Modi government launched the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (Rural Skill Development Scheme) and Pradhan Mantri Kaushalya Vikas Yojana, which are the major industrial and vocational skill development plans. The Pramod Mahajan Kaushalya Vikas Kendras have been set up in 34 rural districts in the State.”

He said, “The Modi government has made robust allocations for youth welfare and the Sports Ministry in its budget. Big-time reforms have been introduced in the industrial sector since 2014 through the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) and PM Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVAnidhi). As many as 3.74 crore students have benefited through the Mudra Yojana. Out of these, 20 pc beneficiaries belong to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes. As many as 7.65 lakh hawkers in the State received financial help under the PM SVAnidhi Yojana. Of these 44 pc are women. The Eklavya Model Schools have been opened for students from the tribal communities. Students taking higher education got new medical colleges, IITs, IIMs and universities. As many as 5,000 new IITs were opened during the Modi government’s tenure.”

Pande said, “The Ghar Chalo drive has been launched from May 4 to campaign for Maha Yuti candidate Murlidhar Mohol. Over 7,500 workers will go door to door and campaign. DyCM Devendra Fadnavis, DyCM Ajit Pawar, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, BJP State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule, MNS President Raj Thackeray and BJP Women’s Wing President Chitra Wagh will address rallies and will tour from May 8 to 11.”
